Preparing for pregnancy - Stopping smoking

Giving up smoking is one the most important things that you can do for your baby’s health. Passive smoking also proves a risk to your baby, so try to avoid smoky places, at home ask people to smoke outside.

Smoking when pregnant can increase the risk of the following; miscarriage, still birth, premature birth, low birth weight, breathing problems and cot death.
