Adoption and Fostering
Sadly there are many children in need of a loving home both in the UK and oversees. But adoptive and foster parents can make an enormous difference to a child's life, by giving love, support and guidance.
What is Adoption?
Adoption is the transferral of parental responsibility to the adoptive parents. It is a permanent arrangement. The child is then brought up as part of the adoptive family.
What is Fostering?
Fostering is a temporary arrangement, that can vary from a night to a long term placement. The foster parent shares responsibility for the child with the local authority and the child's parents.
