Baby Swimming -When you’re amidst the chaos that the arrival of a new baby often brings, probably the last thing on your mind is the need to start taking exercise. However, being active is just as important for your baby as it is for you. Your baby’s brain grows more rapidly in the first year than at any other time, and movement has a crucial effect on its development. Exercise makes them fitter and stronger, helping improve eating and sleeping patterns at the same time. [cont ..]

Baby Exercise -There are plenty of mother and toddler/mother and baby groups here in the UK, which offer the opportunity for parents to get together to chat, swap stories and advice with each other.  Some of these are a godsend to many parents whether they are used as a social meeting place or somewhere for their child to ‘let off steam’. [cont ..]

Baby Signing - 'Why is my baby crying?' Every parent has asked this question, wouldn't it be easier if your baby could tell you the reason why? VISITOR COMMENT

"Hi, I just want to say that I think your article on cloth nappies is brilliant, it really highlights the pros and cons of both types of nappy and answers any doubts that people might have. I chose to use cloth nappies on my baby and was a little unsure at first, but I bought them before she was born so there was no going back. I used disposables the first few weeks and was worried about moving onto cloth, but like you, my worries were over nothing.

They are so much better than dispsables, and I would never use dispoables now (escept on holiday where it was the biggest disaster ever, my daughter's poo shot out of the disposable every time!!!). I hope your article gets through to many more mums and they decide to go for the enviromentally friendly option too." Andrea Leek
